There is a thread about this guitar in General Posting. I can't play a twelve electric. I am asking $1000 OBO. I will put it toward a Les Paul tribute. I will consider trades. I am interested in getting a high quality acoustic perhaps a 12. Right now I only have electrics. There are a lot of pics and vivid description in the thread.

Hi, I would like to have one of these guitars. I do have an Ovation 12 str, SSB, AC/EL; really, really nice that I have on consignment at a local store for @700.00. Are you still interested in a trade? Thanks, Wolfie

I've made a deal with Randy username northcountry. I decided that since I am new to the site and no one knows me that I would send him the Deacon first. Once he receives it he will know that I am on the up and up. He then will send me his 60's reissue Strat. I don't know Randy anymore than he knows me, but you on this site have known him for a long time. I sense from talking on the phone that he a honest person. However, my wife would feel better if I inquired about his reputation and standing here. If you have had any dealing with him. Please let me know what you think about me doing this deal this way. He is aware that I would be making this inquiry and has agree to it.

Please tell your wife not to worry.
You will be very pleased with your trade.
Randy will follow through.

Transactions like this are what makes this group standout.

Unfortunataly Dave is far enough away that we could not meet in person to just do this trade the best way.
Dave decided to just send his along first as he is the new guy know one knows yet....Been there.... and to give him some sense of security we figured he should let the community know as well as contact a few of you who have done business with me in the past. Another very good feature of a group like this that is easy to take for granted but appreciated when the time comes that it is needed.

So as long as none of you guy's tell Dave about all the looting and pillaging we should be fine.

Yah, Randy and I go back to our Witness Protection days where we met... oops!

Sorry, its hard to pass up an opportunity like this.

Randy and I have moved several instruments between us and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him.
He is also one of the more opininated SOBs on this site and tells it like he believes it. And that is what makes this place real!

Randy and I had a failed trade attempt but it was definitely on the up and up. We just could never quite come to an agreement on trade values.

You have nothing to worry about and it sounds like a nice trade.

Along with my regular mutilations of the English language from my sloppy, fast typing and general ignorance, yes....I often "Call em like I see em" Not always the smartest approach as some people do not want to hear it even if I am right. And this site is filled with way to many intelligent and well informed people so they most likely have already come to any conclusions I might think are worthy to announce. But never the less these things make this site at the very least interesting to some.

As I see this one; ..........Wow some of you guy's could have a lot of fun with this, and I know you want to, so thanks for being semi-serious. I hope this helps Dave? Just don't contact Al (one of the owners & proprietors of this site) right now I think the two of us are glad we don't live across the street from each other this month, we'd be throwing snowballs at each other every morning.....or other things.....but this too will most likely pass. He has way to many nice Ovations to Sell and I like them too much to stay away for too long, the rest will not matter too long anyway.

Randy

Randy, why so paranoid? I was paying you a compliment on scoring a nice guitar. Geez.

I am sorry if I misinterpreted this post ...

My bad. No, I don't know how much YOUR 60's reissue Strat is worth. But I have a pretty good idea what A 60's reissue strat is worth and it looks like you got a hell of a deal. What's wrong with THAT.

But to be fair, I am not the Price Police and posting anything on this forum related to prices is strictly forbidden. So I apologize to you as well and the site owners. I was merely paying you a compliment and not incinuating that you ripped off the seller.

Stephen, I thought it was funny and a way for the two of us to see we have a shared interest and it was a meant as a humorus peace offering and reaching out of a hand more or less.
I am sorry, I see no cheap shot? Read that again dude...I just did, it is funny when you think abot it.....or did I do something wrong again? I simply said we are not happy with each other right now..... I think that was kind of obvious to those of us....like yourself Stephen who are involved in this thread.
I thought the visual of Al and I throwing snowballs at each other over the silly argument we had was kind a funny. I still think most anyone would. And I also see no way there can be anything construed as a cheap shot. ?
Poeple don't argue sometimes where your from? People don't patch things up with humor and comminication? Now if you have a need to speak to me feel free to call me Stephen as now I am confused as the visual on the snowball fight "I had" was just Al and I..... not anyone else involved.... it looses it's humor when other get involved on either side, if you see my point.
So far a lot of my points have been missed. Sadly the biggest one of this thread.
But This place is interesting.

I guess you had to be "behind the scenes" and privy to why you are "glad we don't live across the street from each other this month" to understand it or find the humor in it.

That's pretty hard to 'misconstrue'.
The one person on this board who actually buys and sells guitars for a living might know the relative values of these two guitars.
