Seller says it was sitting in a case in the closet, but in response to an inquiry, says it does not come with a case. Odd.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that's "right" . . .

Didn't eBay go thru all the "****" anonymity-shit for a reason??

Going onto a public Forum such as this and saying "I'm bidding on this" KIND OF alludes to a perceived and unspoken "HandsOff" which is borderline Collusion, isn't really fair to other Members who MIGHT wanna' bid, but NOW feel that they "shouldn't", and I were the Seller, I'd REALLY be pissed-off.

Sorry(especially since I don't even "do" eBay), but I think that the "anonymity" of this should be respected.

I see your point, Cliff. But don't blame i***s, I was the one who brought it up.

I made a halfhearted attempt at something he bought a few days ago and drove the price up a few bucks. I'll probably do the same on this one.

I like to bitch about people posting eBay auctions here because I think it brings more bidders to the auctions. But if it's on eBay, it's fair game for anyone.

I jumped in with the confession not to push others out but just to share.

When I get a notification from a fellow O Junkie that they won't "harsh my bid" I try to tell them that they need to bid what they are willing to pay!

BECAUSE IF WE DON'T, SOMEONE ELSE WILL!

Ebay is way too available to steal items at bottom feeder prices anymore. It's the last 3 seconds that really matter.

But we can hope...

Besides... I am actually a 6' Swedish Fight Attendant whose hobbies include stalking OFBG's on the internet and sun bathing when school lets out.

How anonymous do I need to get?

Aw Cliff, I changed my eBarf handle to old_man_arthur just so OFC people wouldn't grab my little Bottom Feeder prospects from my hot little hands.
Then they went to this anonymity-crap.

Aw well, the name change might come in handy when selling.

Hello, my name is o***r and I am an O-dict. :p

I fully understand and appreciate Cliff's opinion, however I don't think that Woody's disclosure here will have any real effect on the final outcome of this auction. Any collusion that may be caused by such disclosure in this forum is of no real consequence. Hopefullly, the posts here will lead other OFC members who want to bid to actually bid regardless of Woody. The seller here could have set a reserve or utilized the "buy it now or a best offer option" but chose not to. EBay has risks for both buyer and seller.

Caveat vendor?

I hope that someone here who really wants this guitar gets it.

I wasn't single-ing out Woody or this specific auction . . . I was speaking in "general" terms.

Personally, I couldn't give half of a HALF of a f@ck as t'who gets screwed on eBay . . .

I have to tell you ... knowing any of you were bidding on something I also wanted never thwarted me. I'm much cheaper than you guys so you've always won the auction. I think.

Cliff, how do you really feel about ebay? You seem a little vague.
Actually I don't have a problem with people saying I***g is me. It might help a weeee bit in getting a reasonable bid but the OFC is such a samll part of the universe that the effect is probably negligable.

Whilst we are one big happy family I think that a EvilBay item is fair game to everyone, OFCer or otherwise.

I've learned this lesson the hard way.

If I announce here (for example the recent walnuts) and want to bid but some fellow OFCer gets it then I say it's a free market.

Having said that if some creep outbids on my walnut baby I'll be none too happy ;)

Just occurred to me (praps I've had too much wine) that a walnut O is pretty neat as I hang mine on the wall by the nut. So Walnut, Wall Nut.

I think I had better go visit the wood shed.

I would wager that all of us BFLGers have daily scrounging hours on Fleabay, Cranklist and other forums. There's no hiding.
