It uses the air cell technology which distributes the weight of the instrument over your entire shoulder. The strap is 3" wide and about 60" at it's longest. Aircell technology is used in many high end bag manufacturers to eliminate the fatigue of carrying heavy loads for a long period of time. Joined: August 2002 Posts: 8307 Location: Tennessee | There's a kind of hush all over the world, so I went ahead and measured the one I got from Al. 44" is the smallest I can make it, and it's longest is 54". I can't imagine trying to play a guitar with a 39" strap. 44" makes my guitar feel like a bolo necktie. But it made me feel like a Dandy. BTW, if you haven't bought one of these, break out the credit card and call Al. They are much nicer than I thought they'd be. I had something similar on a high-end laptop bag I used to carry, but this is nicer that that one even. | ||
