Now that we have seen how much fun the Texan contingent has had I want to put a call out for a Northwest Ovation Fan Club gathering in the next month or so!

There are several of you not far from the Seattle area and it would be great to connect with you. Some of you post and some of you don't. Here is my email address. Please contact me if you are interested and I won't misuse or abuse your address.

Any ideas for where and when would be welcome! I am thinking that if it coincided with the June 17 Factory Tour we wouldn't feel so left out.

I can't leave Alaska in the summer! Too many fish to catch, and too many 24 hour days of sunshine. Make it toward the end of summer or early fall ad I'm there. Better yet, you can't get much more NorthWest than Alaska! I'll even take a bunch out fishing! Any takers...

My Adamas is made from the same stuff as my Loomis.

I wonder what their kids would look like? After a bit of time in the same overhead compartment, I just might find out!

That's cause Mrs. Schroeder read his last remark about a certain O rep and his lip is still swollen.

GAS-works Park? Sounds appropriate enough. Where we could go from there, I will leave to the discretion of "The Locals". Actually, Hood River might be more centrally located, if my triangulation & GPS is operational. I'm game- shoot me.

How about Hermiston? Just kidding. I'd go for Hood River, too, but this summer is pretty booked.

Y'know, Mark, them H20melons DO kinda look like O-bowls, now that I think about it- man, I gotta getta life. Yeah, we all get busy- depends on how this ranks in our respective hedonism indices.

I've got 2 kids graduating in May and my wife is taking us to Italy. Then we're back a couple weeks and I have to go to the annual Porsche convention in Hershey Pa. Then I need to spend some time at our cabin in McCall and have a family reunion over by Bend later in the summer. I should probably work sometime, too. It's going to be a rough summer.

Sees',

I love the name - Gas works Park! Maybe something in your direction to sort of guarantee dry weather! It would also be closer to OR, ID and provide a getaway for the Urban Crowd.

I did email the local Rep! Waiting and wondering now.

Any interested should email me!

FlyGuy has a point. 24 hour days of sunshine would be an added bonus.

If South Westerners are allowed, I would sign up for the NorthWest or Almost-Northwest location.
Maybe figure out a way to bring some of the herd with.

Sorry, AFG. AL and HI just don't count! You will always be the other guys!

The good news is that you don't have waves of Californians coming in!

That said, all are welcome. I am awaiting someone to have an epiphany about time and location. A lake in eastern WA will a chain Hotel and a State Park next door would be swell! Need a stage and instant audience to boot.

Woody,

Since the Texas Contingent had a banner,

How about this for your northwest OFC gathering?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7318456353

Besides the additional light would be helpful in case of excess lava ash darkening the sunshine you guys get so much of up there. :D

Too far for me to come. Someday maybe a Tennessee
OFC Gathering.

My Ovation is well trained, and gets along well with others - I can probably attend a gathering any time...

I've got a 6-foot, white, nylon banner, "Ovation.....because the world isn't flat"
Think that'll do it.
Hood River is in the Columbia River Gorge (scenery & fishing)- windsurfing, motels, The Columbia Hotel (read: expensive), Bonneville Dam (salmon ladders), Starvation State Park (showers).
There's always the hydroplane racing, "Thunder on the Columbia" in the Tri-Cities (Pasco-Kennewick-Richland)- that's always a big party scene.

Here in Western Worshington we have more names for the levels of precipitation than Southpark has dirty words! Indoor playing and outdoor recreation are in order.

Sees' the banner is great!

Let me talk to Bill gates and Paul Allen and see if they are busy!

Hood River is good for me but my attendance depends a lot on when I have to refresh one of our rentals, among other things. Supposedly we have some people moving out in June. Pick & time & place & I'll make it if I can. I have a really busy summer coming up too.

We just need to keep the dialogue up for awhile. Lots of options, and possibilities. I'll start researching venues & events. Something I'm sure will emerge.

AL=Alabama and I can understand that, and Hawaii is just too damn far to swim... But what about AK "Alaska the Last Frontier"? Sorry I couldn't help myself...
