In the end they sold them seperately. I only know the today's owners of the mandocello and bass. Click the thumbnail: ![]() You're right, the bass epaulets are different, here are pictures of a Book Bass: Book Bass Karl

Joined: April 2006 Posts: 848 Location: Munich, Germany | Hi to everybody, this is my first post in this forum, because although I collect Ovations now for quite a long time I didn't know this page! But it's good to know there are more Ovation-Weirdos out there. Makes it easier for me to apologize every time I want to buy a new one. I will show my wife this page and the collections some of you have (although she is quite generous with me buying guitars...). So, please forgive me my mistakes (I didn't speak english for a long time) and that I refresh this old post. But I have two of these "Book Editions", a Longneck and the Bass, Karl wrote of (it is now mine!) And, to answer one of those old questions: The Epaullettes on the picture are not the original ones, they are the same than the ohter "Books" have. And the Body is a normal Deep Bowl (no Viper Body). So again, hi to everybody, thank you all for this great Board! Best Regards, Kurt - Munich, Germany

It was a bargain! I know of another book bass in Berlin and they want twice the prize you payed for it. I live close to Nuremberg, great to know of another Ovation kook not too far away. Karl

I know your collection as well, but I didn't know that it was a neck-and-neck-race with you for Ralf's Bass! I think you got my email adress from Jerome. He said, you wanted to ask me something? @Mark: Thanks for your post. I showed it immediately to my sweetie, it put a big smile on her face, and I think, this year I will be allowed to buy two or maybe three new guitars! Thank you very much! Best regards, Kurt
