Okay...I have found out as much as I could and I'm ready to get this thing off the ground.

Recap the Basics:
Cost: $29.00 (all profits to go to the OFC upkeep fund)

Objective: To come up with 13 creative and interesting photos that members will enjoy looking at every day for a month. And...let's set a sales goal of 20 calenders.

Proceedure: Send me a check for $29.00 per calender along with at least one photo that you would like to have displayed. (photo details to follow) You have until October 1st to get an order and photo in. Calenders will be mailed by November 1st.

Photo Details:
The picture will end up being 8-1/4 x 11. It is important that there be enough resolution for the photo to be sharp and clear at that size.
Photo must be "landscape" (aka: wide), not tall.

Let's get creative and put some excitement in the photos. Use interesting backgrounds. Alaska Fly Guy talked about having glacier ice behind his Ovation. Do you have an Ovation with historical importance? Take a photo that tells the story. How about a picture of your collection? Better yet, how about a picture of your collection with you in it? Even better, how about a picture of your collection and you with a hot babe? :D
Take your time to come up with something special.
I'd like to have the pictures reflect the personalities of our members and not look like pictures from a sales catalog.
Hey CaptainLovehandles (aka:jas)...If you want to draw somthing, that would be cool!
Come on Mr. Wong!!! Do your thing!!!
****I don't mean to sound demanding.... I'm just trying to give encouragement!****

Photo Selection:
If you order a calender I want to do everything I can to include your photo. You'll just have to trust me in the selection process. As a check and balance, my wife Pam will help me out. The best thing that can happen is that I get so many great pictures that choosing between them becomes a real headache.

fine print:
Of course we cannot use copyrighted photos. And sorry, no pics of Nancy Wilson unless she is in your living room playing your Ovation.

My address is:

Brad Durasa
7262 Audubon
Algonac, MI 48001

e-mail digtal photos to:

Did I miss anything????

I'd have to nominate the original 7 shiny bowl production models:

Or an assortment of Electric Storm models:

Here is a pic of Ovations very first 4 shiny bowl models and the very first ovation catalog(1967) that featured these four models..The catalog is probably harder to find than the guitars. The guitars are from left to right, 1967 classic ,1967 Josh White,1967 balladeer and laying down is a 1967 deluxe balladeer in sunburst. When was the last time you saw a shiny bowl in burst??

No ..The first catalog has a b/w folder with four inserts ,one for each model. The inserts were also in b/w.I dont think even ovation has this catalog because when i got it years ago i checked with them and no one could find one much less seen one.I have posted photocopies of this catalog in some topic about a year ago.Dont remember the exact title.I think it was Rare ovation history or something like that

Slipkid,
I don't think you'll have any proplem surpassing your sales goal. I'm getting CAS (Calendar Aquisition Syndrome) just looking at these photos!

You could include a CD/DVD of submitted photos that didn't make the calender.
