So here we go again... I'm looking for reviews/comments on the C2079LX. Standing O Dave responded to the original post with very positive remarks. I live in central Pennsylvania and would be lucky if any of these exist within 150 miles of me (anybody know of any in Harrisburg,Altoona State College ect.?) Also does this model have a XLR jack? I think I read somewhere that the 1/4 " jack is an end pin type? Side note to AL..I got your price quote and if I decide to pull the trigger I'll be in touch.

The 1/4" is the "two connector" type (the proper term escapes me at the moment), not the TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) three connector type. Jeff

I will wait and see if C2079LX will offer natural or ADII natural will go ContourBowl in the future. Will buy either one in the near future...

Tomorrow I should have and extreme case of hearing the phantom UPS Truck as my custom-custom-contour-Elite LX 12 string with the custom natural top will be delivered! Had to sell three nice guitars and actually make some decisions almost 3 months ago. Now it should soon come to ripeness! I hope the photo utility is up! I should be!!!

It would qualify as either a AAA Bearclaw or XXX guitar porn (plagarised from the UMGF string)! The beauty of it all is that tomorrow IS a Federal Holiday but ISN'T a UPS day off! Saves me from calling in sick. My guitar box has been sitting in Seattle since 0730 on Friday though.

They jumped all over this one for poor Al. If I had ordered through a real Salesman locally I would have had to pay a lot more for mediocre service. Actually, just the part about Standing Dave thinking his guitar was in made the whole thing worth while. Out of pity, I reccomend Al for your custom orders. Total charity mind you. It should almost be tax deductable. M(don't give Al a big head)Woody :D

Nobody would ever believe that I could write it off as a business expense claiming that I could actually make money on my music...

I would have given it to him over any other offer. After several attempts to change his mind, I gave up and gave it to another dealer. This guitar has been in the planning for several years, but the LX and contour bowl forced the order. Hopefully I will receive it soon as I understand that this 1st qtr. is when the european C2079LX stock is being produced, and I really expect mine to come out of this production run. Donald

Your post also invited some sort of dealer price bidding war in which I refused to participate. I hope you are happy with your order and price.

If you had ordered from Al, you would definitely know when your guitar was about to go into production, when it was finished, and when it was shipped. Apparently, the dealer you ordered from can only tell you to "expect" yours to be part of a production run, and to hope for it to be shipped soon. Hopefully I will receive it soon as I understand that this 1st qtr. is when the european C2079LX stock is being produced, and I really expect mine to come out of this production run. Donald For my money, and I know we're talking about your money here, I'll be happy knowing what's going on and having faith that I'm receiving the best available combination of price (apparently the absolute most important to you) and service when I order from Al.

I posted up a pic of my Adamas 1881 that would be a terrific guitar for you although I am asking a bit more than $1000. If interested check out all the details in my OFC gallery under the "for sale" section. Several members chimed in and said it would be a great buy for you. ![]()

Talk to Moody about tax deductible upgrades. BTW - Left Seattle at 0453 a.m.!!!!! Out for Delivery???
