With this post I am passing 5000. Probably had only a hundred or so meaningful ones, but who's counting. I have really enjoyed this board and met a lot of friends, or as Mr. Golf 007 reminds me, a lot of strange men I met in an internet chatroom that look forward to meeing out of State!

Good: People and connections!

Not so Good: Seeing some of these friends go silent. In my head I am still 25 and bullet proof. Reality enters in.

Good: First hand and Second-first hand history and knowledge being shared and archived! Priceless!

Not so Good: Still not clean enough to invite the whole family to read. I will focus on the part I can control.

Good: Each day provides something new. Just when you think you got it all together someone pops up with a new twist on a model.

Undecided: GAS! We don't look for a cure, just treatment!

May the peace and love that surpasses all understanding dwell in your hearts and homes.

Thanks for putting up with me! :)

when this board started and I had 1K posts so many people thought that was unbelievable. Well the fact is I often started posts and answered them to stimulate discussion. Now I can just sit back and watch it all unfold.

Al's having another delusion of godhood...pass the Haloperidol.

Woody,
You have breeched the "Get a Life" barrier.

I apologize for being one of those folks you are afraid to expose your family to...

...get over it ;)

MW - Another personal thanks to you for being part of this. When you sent the back plate for my Mongrel I was stunned that someone would do that. Kind of a "pay-it forward" deal going here, and it's very cool. THANKS!

Now if someday I can decipher all these St&%$#id numbers I'll feel more t'home!

As I was packing the wooden roundback because Southwest wouldn't let me carry it on and arranging my schedule to meet Dave in Arizona and showing someone my guitar collection and figuring out how I can bring a friend's Ovation back from Arizona, I suddenly decided that my wife is right, "This Ovation obsession is stupid."
But I'm having a good time, so here I am.

You people are all quite weird!

I like that.
(But I'm gonna have to get a few more O's to feel real comfortable here. ALways wanted an O 12string, cos I appreciate great engineering. Maybe a uke...just for the HOI. But don't think I'm susceptable to GAS..... :( )

Ukes
are
a
blast!
:D
A pleasant little diversion. Their best quality is the ability to temporarily set aside all the tonewood / bone nut / slothead break angle issues and just have fun with 4 strings.
One finger for each string. Who could ask for more?

The beauty of the ukulele is that nobody has high expectations. Everyone just assumes it's the cheeziest, stupidest thing you could possibly come up with. And I never disappoint. Dave

If you guys keep talking about ukes, I'm going to have to beg Tony to sell me the palm tree back. And my wife won't appreciate that.
