I hate when that happens. I hope they didn't cut out his porn too.

I used to to periodically have the OFC open/minimized on my desktop and go to it in between tasks or while I had something rendering . . .

Now they started this whole Corporate initiative of posting a monthly BarGraph of how much people do Internet browsing (with rumblings of steps taken against "RepeatOffenders) . . . .

. . . Fuckwits.

I don't even bother with it from work anymore . . .

Thankfully, we just got a DSL connection at home.

It's nice to be "missed".

Thx.

Hey Cliff it sure is good when your found. But I think the rehab story would have been better. So we are just going to make stuff up.

Make stuff up because it's better stories. I like that, Cliff can get the photoshop to go with that.

Sorry to hear that, Cliff, IT departments on power trips suck.

...that said, we are implementing a new content filtering/web usage proxy server at my workplace as well. It won't affect me, because I'm an IT administrator...

...but I'd still be happy to participate in making up stories about you.

Miles,

Can you have the official OFC address changed to something like these:

www.increasedhumaneffectiveness.com

www.howtoworkharder.com

www.iluvmyjob.com

www.ihavethephotosandiwillpublishifyoudontgoaway.com

Just trying to help.

It's not the IT Dept. Wask, they're actually a nice bunch of guys. It's the Corporate muckymucks.
(TexasRepublicans have absolutely no sense of humor).

OhWell, . . . let 'em have it . . .

They can dictate my job, but they won't run MyLife . . .

You guys'll just end up being subjected to flurries of lengthy, nonsensical posts at 3a.m. when I'm up trying to burn off the AfterGig "Buzz" . . .

I DID have some nice pics from L'Cruz (wish I coulda' posted them).
Seems so long ago now . . .
. . . my suntan's starting to fade, and I'm starting to sober up . . . (hate when that happens) . . .

Well, that's good to hear, Cliff. Most IT guys I know are pretty cool, too. But I have met some real paranoid types.

I know what you mean about the cruz. Real life comes back with a vengeance, and the euphoria gets buried under it.

In my company we refer them as the IT Nazi's. Their job is to impede progress, slow down communications, answer all questions in the negative, and in-general render our computers all-but useless. And they are very good at what they do..

". . MOVE!! . ."

(the "ITGuy" in the SNL skit)

t'be honest, it feels MUCH more comfortable and "appropo" t'be doing this from the bastion of my MusicRoom amongst my instruments and the stuff that kinda' relly "matters" t'me . . .

"Texas Republicans"?

Bean counters, marketing pukes, and efficiency experts have no politics except the politics of screwing up well running operations.....
