Note - The NFW is in NO WAY connected with what the OFC guitar will or will not be. And I'm not trying to give Al any grief, because he's been really great about this project for the last 16 months. I just wanted to have a little FUN.

As far as Waskel, I think he's just trying to beat the rain or practice for tomorrow when the clocks change. Dave

Actually I've always wondered if they could do a sunburst on a textured adamas top. The wood ones like my Custom Legend and 1537 look so good. I wonder if they could and how it would turn out. Not sure I'd be willing to experiment on a $5000. guitar. Dave

You need to elect someone to take the heat for all of the "wrong" decisions that are made. It's how real govmint works! BTW - Thanks Al! I chose this year to bypass the unknowns and to just order a Custom that I could appreciate and (nearly) afford. I got tired of hearing what Ovation was willing to release in the line of updates, or not. I am happy with what I got. Here's to next year!

Joined: September 2003 Posts: 9301 Location: south east Michigan | Hmmm....22 spec out a blowhole but 26 want a blowhole trimmed in abalone. We'll just chalk it up to a statistical aboration. I would think the combination of a 12 fret and a cut-away would go together like peas & carrots. I'm glad to say that if this poll decided the final form of the guitar I would be just fine with it. The only catagory where I differ is the body binding. Question for Dave...Why didn't you list the VIP (a.k.a. Studio) pre-amp?
