No, just_____. He has some nice rocks for sale cheap, though. What do you expect from someone from Iowa, a mint condition 1681??

I never knew Glen Campbell designed the Ovation classical... I did know his mom worked in the factory building them....

It's a very nice guitar, just that it doesn't quite live up to the guys description. I predict no bids. Dave

I thought that we had put an end to this with the timely death standing O? :p :D :p

I think I should be able to get at least $3K for my 1763. It's only got one ding, one finsih crack, Oh and it's an FRG, but it has ebony tuners, "very special" strings, and sounds great...

LOL....

Well... the dude dropped his shipping to $86.50 What a bargain! Not.

Then... did you guys take a look at his previous feedback? When I looked at the whole basic attitude, it looks like he's REAL PROUD of the stuff he owns. Lots of complaints of his stuff being less of a quality than in the ad....

He also has more than a few complaints about dings and defects in stuff and then blames the buyers. I personally don't believe that many buyers damage their goods right after buying.

Definitely not a nice person - I'd pass on anything this guy had to sell.

Methinks he's been out in the sun too long in his cornfield.

Frankly I'm supprised that the guy is letting go of these gems for such a low price! I'd think he could get at least a grand for such high quality tape:

LOL!

I just got THIS letter from this nut...

Listen up Greg, if you have nothing better to do than to belong to an "Out of Date" Guitar Fan Club and spend hours composing a letter in a vain attempt to build yourself up, you're wasting your time my friend.
Guess this guy really knows his guitars...after all, he has 50 classicals! I sent him the spreadsheet that Ovation put out showing the retail prices on guitar that they have built from 71-05...don't guess he appreciated the gesture :D

Ever had really old masking tape that won't unwind without tearing?

LOL

"new" doesn't equate to "good".

He won't sell it to anyone who knows anything about guitars, certainly not to anyone who knows anything about Ovations. I suppose he's thinking SOMEbody might plunk down $2500 for this thing, let's see what happens.

I would have no interest at any price in a guitar offered by someone who is selling it in addition to a lot of other "stuff" on ebay. His 49 other classicals are probably just part of the inventory he's churning.

His shipping has come down to sixty-something dollars, though. That baby's gonna fly out of there any day now.

The guy is an idiot. However if someone bids and pays him that price he's brilliant. That being said most of the time the bidding goes to the value of the item. If it is a $2400 item the bidding will get there, it not it wont.

Just e-mailed the guy and told him it wasn't worth half of what he was asking. I'm waiting eagerly for the firey response. :D We should all flood him with questions of his sanity, and maybe he'll amarten up.

Half is way too much. The $300 case cost twice the list price. It probably included his plane ticket.

Seeing crap like this sure makes it sound easier to sell a pair of Air Guitars!

Remember when certain characters used to sell cars by smashing the windshield with a sledge hammer or their dog Spot had sharp claws and a mane?

I'm imagining this guy lying awake at night trying to figure out his next shipping cost strategy!

He's probably all excited about the interest in his item - given he's up to almost 300 hits on the dumb thing now. Too bad most of those are probably from us idiots in this outdated fan club, huh?

OH.....

Did you guys catch that he took out a loan for this one but it's only been played 4 times since '76?

Maybe that loan is due, 'eh?

Yeah, because if I paid that much for a guitar in '76, of COURSE I'd only play it four times in the next 30 years.

If someone does bid on this, I will be forever amazed at the depth of human stupidity.
