After about two hours of playing, the inside of my left index finger was a bit rough and red. After inspecting the nut, it seems the outward protruding ends are very sharp causing irritation to my finger. Then I inspected my other guitars, particularly the 1651 I've owned for 24 years, and noticed their nuts are nice and smooth. Same with the 70's solid bodies. Anybody else having this problem? Has anybody used a Dremel tool to smooth down their rough nuts?

I just find it odd that such a fix would be required for a guitar that retails for $3000 (as reported the Adamas site). Maybe it is just a one-off circumstance.

Search the U681T thread and see the "total" nightmare that some of us got to experience before Al and the Mothership came together to make the world a better place by correcting all issues in a timely manner.

He was a witness in his own defense in a copyright infringement action filed by some disgruntled small-time songwriter who alledged that he stole her work. In response to a question about how he comes up with his songs, he said he has many tunes in his head and he just picks one. In a follow-up question, he was asked to provide an example. He then went into a 40 second ad lib song off the top of his head after which the packed courtroom broke into wild cheers and applause. Word got out and we were beseeched with request for copies of the cassette tapes of the hearing which, at $5 per, was a bargain for what essentially was an original, unedited, unrehearsed, unapproved, uncensorsed first generation copy of an unknown, never recorded nor published tune direct from Michael Jackson. Before the end of the day, over a thousand requests had been received. Only about a dozen were actually made before we shut it down.
