Did anyone get a chance to play one when you were at the tour ? I know this may be a tough one for some but will anyone own up to owning one of these & if so how about a review . My personal thought is that they are just to ugly to hang around your neck . Any thoughts ??? GWB

Something about the top being tampon-white and how appropriate that the silver-ish epaulet trim looked just like the inside of a clam-shell. Just some aweful comments. You know how cruel he used to be ... Fortunately I am above all that. I have my own personal preferences of course, but I would never criticize other peoples equipment (shut up Cliff). Some people would consider this a very nice guitar. I'm sure it plays and sounds great. The looks are a matter of personal choice. Heck people say my FD14 is fugly, but I love it all the same. Even ugly dogs are still technically "mans best friend". Dave

If you think about it their are a lot of gay looking Ovation`s. If you look at some of the 2006 tour pics you might wander about some of these guys...

Now if you can make the images stop flashing through my head... The fact that Ovation has XX of these IN STOCK, and XX of the 12 string model (most Adamas stock levels are X, 597's maybe X or X) should tell ya something. PLEASE do not post the PRIVATE inventory of the factory on this PUBLIC message board. You really need to think before you post. try this: put your hands in the air walk away from the key board, think about it then post.

As I said to you in the private email that I sent to you. Ban me, ask me to leave, or delete my post. Trust me, there was a lot more written, but after reading it again, why bother. Your board, enjoy it.

The bottom line is you are welcome here but you really have to watch what you post and how you post it. BTW. why did you edit your post? If you legitimately feel that way post and keep it up for all to read. I have no issue with that.

No one's hiding the fact that it's a great guitar. I own it, and I found it to be top of the line. The MEWP-II, due to the missing lower sound holes will accentuate the lower end of the sound spectrum. That's the style now and people like it, especially when playing live at volume. I've been playing it now for 3 years, and where ever I go, people say it's beautiful both sonically and cosmetically. Not a mention of gayness. Could be because I live in "Gay-jew-stan" but I don't think so. Most people just say, cool guitar and that other factor doesn't enter into it one bit. As to the appearance, if you like white guitars, you'll love it. I like white guitars. So there.
