Guys,

I'm sorry for taking way too long to post this, but sometimes I have to take a step back and away from from things that are bothering me. It's much easier than biting my tongue. Then my employer sent me away for a couple of weeks...but anyhow...I'm sorry for my rant on the YouTube thread a while back. I wasn't at the time because I was speaking from emotion. I was having a LOT of fun with that thread as was obvious from my postings. Then I got curious about what cliff and Moody were talking about and I was off to the races. As I mentioned, it can be difficult at times NOT to talk about things going on in the world (especially with my background) when it comes to music because of how it often reflects that....but I will do my best. It's a sad commentary on the times when we can talk about the strings, amps, our wonderful instruments and all things musical...except the inspiration and statement behind it (if that statement is political in nature and is inspired by human suffering).

I like this board and have a lot of respect for those who make it happen. I understand how things get when politics come up and will leave it out of my posts....but at the rate at which this country and the world around us is falling apart, I often wonder if my son will be able to sit here and talk to his buds about guitars or anything else when he is my age. I posted this here because I wanted to keep the youtube thread on track....I did enough there already :( . I just wanted to say I was sorry and then let it go.

peace...it's good to be back...

Who cares what you said?! In the vastness of the internet, or what's said on earth, with everything that's going, what's said here that doesn't pertain to guitars is really small potatoes. I mean really small. We are talking subatomic. Besides, I forgot.

I have NO idea (anymore) what you're referring to . . . but can assure you that an apology is not necessary . . .

Many of us on this board have very short memories. Don't remind us and no apology will be necessary.

Glad you're back. Don't know what you said and too lazy to go look. Much too busy looking at guitars and other stuff. :)

Poor memory is the foundation of strong relationships. :D

Besides, anything that doesn't end with a sucking chest wound is no big deal.

mark,

Thanks for making the effort to appologize.... that sometimes isn't very easy... whether it is needed or not seems debatable....thanks anyway.

I remember what was said.... it was an HONEST differnce of opinion, nothing more, nothing less. And it was between friends. We can forget it entirely, or we can sit down over a beer and passionately disagree about, then go together and make a beer run.

There are several people on this board who I consider to be very very good friends and there are subjects where we never go because we never agree (I am, of course, always right).

Don't sweat it Mark. And by the way, don't sell the FD14. You'll be amazed, in a year, what you get back in your hand. And you'll regret selling something so precious.

Puh-LEEZE tell me we're not going to have to start apologizing for things that sound better in our heads than they look in print. Not that I don't have that form letter ready and sitting by the desk but I would sincerely like to believe that, as the illustrious Mr Moody pointed out, friends can discuss and disagree but running out of beer (or rum, merlot, gin, etc...) is really the only unforgivable sin.

Ditto ion the Fud too.

Apples and oranges. Pepsi's not a controlled substance.

1. Try a different font.

2. Double your dosage.

(#2 doesn't apply to Fillhixx, as the reaction with Jolt Cola would just make bad things worse more quickly)

I had to go back and read what Mark wrote on the YouTube thread.

No appology was necessary. Mr. Moody knew full well that his post would generate responses. Sometimes that's part of the fun of it.

Most of the time we talk about guitars and music, but if something posted here gets an OFCer angry, this is as good a place as any to rant.

BTW, the YouTube thread has some great stuff.

You wanna know the honest to god truth of the matter? People post things all the time here that are political that don't generate any comments at all. Because the vast majority of musicians are of a liberal nature. Being a conservative, I've learned to ignore it and not worry about it. That's easy to do when your in the right as often as I am. I posted the link to the video because it reflected my view and I enjoyed it. I honestly never considered that it would get the response that it did.

Oh well.....

This just goes to prove that we're all in the right place to be wrong.

Except those that are left, of course...
