Joined: December 2003 Posts: 1889 Location: Central Massachusetts | Hi all, I've had this in the works for a while and everything finally came together just in time..... I'm happy to introduce: The official OFC Northwest Gathering 2006 T-Shirt! Our resident cartoonist, Jas (Captain Lovehandles) was kind enough to depect this realistic Northwestern scene featuring some of local OFC members as members of the Corps of Discovery. Apparently O's and A's were very popular and found many uses on the Oregon Trail! If you will be attending the shindig on August 19th, please PM or email me your t-shirt size (see below for more information) and I will have a shirt ready for you at the party. If you will not be attending but still want a shirt, I'd just ask that you cover my cost, which should be about $15 per shirt including shipping. Send me your size and zip code and I'll get back to you with a final price once I know how many shirts are to be printed. Please only do this if you are going to follow through with a purchase as I can't afford to get stuck holding any extras. Please have your shirt requests to me by Tuesday the 8th so I can get them printed in time for the party. The above image will be printed about 9-10" in diameter on the front and center of Gilden Ultra Cotton (model 2000) "natural" colored t-shirts. I have reviewed a sample of the shirts with similar printing on them and they are good quality and the printing isn't that nasty type that sticks to your chest. These are unisex shirts, and here's some help for sizing: Gilden Ultra Cotton (2000) measurements: S = Chest: 34-36" Length: 28" M = Chest: 38-40" Length: 29" L = Chest: 42-44" Length: 30" XL = Chest: 46-48" Length: 31" 2XL = Chest: 50-52" Length: 32" 3XL = Chest: 54-56" Length: 33" The length of a T-shirt is measured from the neckline to the bottom hem of the shirt. The width of a t-shirt is measured one inch down from the under arms across the chest. I recommend measuring your favorite tee shirt and comparing it to the size chart for the best fit. There is a possibility of slight shrinking after the first wash, although all shirts are pre-shrunk, please allow about 1/2 inch loss in the width and one inch in length. Again, please have your sizes to me by Tuesday the 8th. And again, a special thanks to Captain Lovehandles!.. he took my concept and ran with it. Without his contribution, this wouldn't be happening! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

I never even saw this until today. Let's just say they took a detour on the Willamette. Well, I've heard from 3 of the 4 "victims" so far and I still haven't been kicked out of the club. Of course, the last one is a lawyer, so we'll see if I have to sell these on the Martin board to fund my legal defense.

I was wondering who thought I had all that dark black hair. My daughter thinks the guy in the back looks just like me. I can paddle better than I can play.

If you assume that they are down stream from Portland, the river takes a sharp turn to the Northwest, and viola....it all works out. Oh...and also assum that they are very lost and heading directly north expecting to beach themselves in Longview at any moment, launching the person who should not be standing in the bow of a canoe saluting, into the miry mud flats, sinking up to his waist. But fear not....by strapping an ovation to each foot, he easily walk atop the mud (and even water) back to the canoe to continue their journey to.....Well....southern California if they don't turn around.

I keep looking at the rendering and thinking overly critical about what features are "me". I keep thinking that my brother looks like that but not me. I know I'm kidding myself since we are twins born four years apart. I have to say that the Captain has some talent! To make observations and put them on paper is a gift. A few years back I supervised a Planning Office and it would be common to hear an occasional impression being done of one of the Shop Supervisors or Managers. Either by using a key phrase or patented line you could vent frustrations by "doing" someone. Since we had a fairly open office relationship (Us against Management mostly) I cornered the lead impersonator one day and asked him to "do" me (potential cheap shot noted). "What sayings or manerisms do you I have that get repeated?" He was either gutless or I have no personality... My Daughters on the other hand had no problem providing feedback about what one of my lectures sound like...
