In order to quell the whining, crying, kvetching, and general Pissing&Moaning that IS David Witko, a NorthEast Region OFC Gathering has been established to coincide with MasterWitko’s visit here.

When: Saturday, September 16th. 1:00p.m. until a “reasonable hour”

Note: “Reasonability” oft-times takes on a “sliding scale”.

Where: A private residence that has been offered up by a Gracious & Lovely benefactor.

Complete Address/Directions will be provided, but for the sake of calculating “Travel Time”, base the destination in the vicinity of Asbury Park, NJ (No! . . . it’s NOT at Springsteen’s house!!!)

What: Food, Drink, Guitars, Laughter (repeated as needed).

Limousine parking will be available (however, the TourBus “staging area” will be a block away . . .

. . . and due to residential noise ordinances, helicopters ARE discouraged . . .sorry.)

It is hoped that the truckloads of sand (from the local beach) can be poured for the floor of the “TikiDome” (now under construction) in time, but that all hinges upon the “purchase price” of the local Zoning Commisioner . . .

And yes, there WILL in fact be a “Llama Shampooing Booth” (for those who’ve asked . . .)

How: If you DO in fact plan on attending, please e-mail me at adamas54@aol.com with “NorthEastOFC” in the title.

Location address and detailed directions will be provided. The necessary “HeadCount” will be based on these responses, so PLEASE respond only if you ARE going to attend (and how many will be coming).

Please Note that there WILL be a pair of rather large, imposing, scimitar-wielding Nubian guards at the gate, and anyone not on “TheList” will in fact be turned away (in pieces of varying sizes).

Please plan on bringing an adequate amount of “Drinkie-Poo” (of your choice) to amply “lubricate” yourself for the event yet allow you to make the trip back home safely (and legally). You’re all Adults(?), you figure it out . . .

If need be, you will be notified if particular foodstuffs may be needed (we’re trying t’keep this from turning into PastaSaladFest ’06) so for the time being, just “BeverageUp”.

It has been the hopes that the location will provide a goodly amount of people from various locales to get together with a reasonable amount of travel (and donations to Bush’s Retirement Fund).

It is hoped that it can be convenient for you.

If Not: “. . You can Please SOME of the People, SOME of the Time . . . and Jerk the Rest Off . .” – Robin Williams.

Hope to see you there.

Oh they joy of it all. A Jersey Tupperware Party, and right in my old home town. In the spirit of Mr. Scrooge, God Bless Everyone and Especially Tiny Cliff. I'll break out a brand new Taytor t-shirt just for the occasion. Actually that's no joke, I'll probably bring my sons Taylor with me from the city. Please let me return it good shape, he's just a kid who doesn't know better.

Dave

PS Cliff, I need a shipping address to send out some stage props. Pretty big crate this time, might have to go by Orange Freight.

Just make sure that the crate has "air holes" in it . . . and the Taylor shirt has a target on the back . .
(spear-guns can be SUCH fun! . . .)

Tuppy--
If you'd rather not tote a guitar, I would be glad to loan you either Jewel or Gertrude. I know that they're not Adamas, but Gertrude is a grand old lady to play. :-)
Cliff--I will let Robbie and Mike know about the get-together, too; we'll get you a head count as soon as possible.

Let's see. I have a gig that Thursday, and I'm going to a concert on Friday. Now, how to get out for a whole day on Saturday and leave my wife with the baby. Off to the jewelry store we go!

I still have Kim's number around somewhere, but I don't think I can do that, EVEN to Barth!

Will there be an amp if someone wants to bring an electric? Or should I bring my punk classic JX-30 solid state?

I doubt that amps'll be in short supply, but if it'll fit in your trunk, bring it . . .

Attention New Yorkers
Share the gas (and tolls)!
Travel at up to 60mph!
See the wilds of Staten Island!
Experience the New Jersey Outback!

If anyone needs a lift and can get to my house in downtown brooklyn before I take off, drop me a PM. I have room for two including your small amp and guitar. Already in my 1992 civic is me, a 30 watt combo, an adamas, and a mandolin sized guitar.

PS Or if you are passing thru Brooklyn on the way, and want to share the gas and ride in your car, let me know.

Yes. This is only necessary when grass skirts and coconuts are involved.
