I'll come right out and say it! SOUTHEAST GATHERING  Date?, Place? Who? What do you say? samovo?... cholloway?... twa?... captain?... popcritic?... anyone I missed?... any willing to travel?... wooden round back?... Lets see if we can hammer this out, and get a nice gathering off the ground! Cooler weather's coming, this ought to be a GREAT TIME together!

Got any stronger suggestions for a location? How about that Llama ranch down in Ocala, Fla? C. All the rest of the support functions that go with one of these, hotel, eateries, place to play, sound, etc.

I personally am partial to Hotlanta as a matter of convenience. For all you business people there are a lot of reasons to do bus. in the Atl., as it is the official bus. hub of the southeast. Stone Mtn. would be awesome. What if someone from the ofc knew Kaki King well enough to persuade her to come to our humble gathering, if it were to be here in Atl ?

She's about to embark on a strenuous two-month national tour (35 cities): http://www.yellowumbrellatour.com/tour.html I noticed Oak Ridge TN mentioned in an earlier post--it's not that far from Knoxville and is one of the most beautiful places in the the Southeast. In any case, wherever and whenever, I'll certainly do my best to be there. Dave King

How about opening this up to everyone able to come from north, south, east and west ? Hell, the wood slothead adamas is worth the plane trip alone!!!

And actually, the 14th would be the easiest for me...but don't mind pulling an all nighter behind the wheel for you guys if we need to make it that weekend of the 8th-9th. :) Oh, and I'll be carring my "lite" equipment...a Shen-Pro 100, and a fender Passport 250 with mics and stands...and as many guitars as I can fit in the Durango :)
