JUST GOT THE CALL!!!!!!! IT IS FINISHED!!!!!!

After what seems like forever (actually close to a year), I am heading out the door now to FINALLY pickup my custom made 12 string from local luthier Scott Baxendale.

I posted up some early construction photos several months ago and will try to post up some finished photos by the weekend!

I am so EXCITED I think I will sh#%^ my britches on the way to his shop!

More to follow............

I don't suppose it's anything like my 12 string, 12 fret slothead 1115 that I got on ebay for $300?

You kind of ruined what might have been some nice visuals, there Stephen. When you post pictures, make sure they are of the guitar, not your britches.

If you were heading out the door 3 hours ago, why haven't you posted pics and a report on the guitar by now?

Unfortunately, like Jeff W, my camera work is lacking and the pictures do not do justice to how incredibly elegant yet simple looking this guitar is. It is an absolute beauty to look at in person.

The flash of the camera really makes the binding look red but it actually blends in very well with the indian rosewood sides. I suppose it is the spruce under the binding that causes the top to flash redder than the bottom binding which is backed by the rosewood.

We can see beyond the camera work... it really is nice.

Take it outside and shoot without the flash.

BTW: I forgot, why did you install the "69" soundhole?

Bruce, the soundholes allow you to "hear" the guitar as it projects upward and well as outward so that you can actually get a truer representation of what your audience hears.

I am attempting to record some sound clips but I just changed out some equipment and of course I somehow f*^$ked something up.

I will give a full review this weekend and compare it to the Adamas 1688 (Big Blue) but I can tell you that it sounds amazing!

Stephen, I understand its function. I'm looking more for the scientific research backing the shape of the soundhole :D
