OH MY GOD THAT'S NICE!

Explains why your Adamas 12 ended up with me (he he). Seriously that double neck is really beautiful. Good going.

Question: is this based strictly on pre-LX features? I see they must be K-Bar necks. What kind of bracing is in there? GS bowl? Is it mid or deep?
Very beautiful.
One more question...to the nearest $10,000, how much?

Thanks guys! It is very fun to play, but also very top heavy. I played a show with it on Friday night and it wore me out! Well worth the pain though!

That is really sweet!

Question...electric doublenecks typically have the 12-string on top...yet both Chris and Tim have the 12-string on the bottom. Is this an acoustic thing or just an Ovation thing?

More a Richie Sambora thing....
He argued that it makes sense not to have to reach over the neck less played. Since most playing is on the 6 string for lead work, it should be on top for ease of reach.
I think Gibson lead the way to the 12 on top with the old SG models in the 60's and that sort of became the norm.

My 2 cents

Tim

I agree with Tim. I could have had the 12 on top but I went with it on the bottom. Much easier for me to strum the 12 hanging low than up closer to my chest. K-bar necks. It has a triple A spruce top. I was fortunate enough to help pick it out myself with Willy (the guy who pretty much builds the whole thing from scratch) when I flew up there in May. I also sent a camera up there at the beginning of production for Mark to snap pictures of the guitar at various stages and I will post them also in my gallery. The bracing is very intricut and yest the huge bowl does produce a big sound! Maybe I can bring it up next year for the tour! Ths case is a monster though! Total weight with the guitar in is is 61 pounds! Thanks guys!
