Did you people know that Clifford has 650 posts more than the next closest poster? No wonder his employer discourages him from coming on the board from work.... it's amazing that he has time for work!

What's sad is that Moody actually has the time to look such things up and do the math . . .

Woody is cranking out nearly 2500 per year average. This time next year Cliff will have a challenger, based on yearly average posts...

Well, there ARE three kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary math, and those who don't.

Post count is never the goal. I just delite in the distraction and fellowship.

I'll leave the math to automated equipment.

Considering there are 40000 posts represented by just those of us who have posted on this thread so far...

I'd say we all need a little intervention...

I went over 3000 in 18 months and thought that I needed to get some counselling or something. I actually weaned myself off. That worked for a few hours. Some people need to get lives.

So true...and in about six months I'm over the 600 mark...not quite where Woody and Cliff are, but enough for a legitimate obsession...

What, precisely, would we be researching? OCD? Cult Recruitment?
GAS Dependence in the early 21 Century? Mass Psychosis? Preversion in males over 40 (...hot topic at the moment)?....

I can remember the old days when there were less than 750 members, and I was a lurker, then I had a question, joined this merry band, and it was downhill after that...

The syndrome does not manifest itself the same way in the female of the species.
That form is known as

OCDEMAS-SF (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Extreme Musical Accessorization Syndrome-- Shopping Fixation)

The musical form is more rare in the female, mainly because there are other desirable objects that compete--jewelry, furs, shoes, etc. Obviously, I have a fairly severe case of the syndrome.

--Karen and the all the manifestations of the dreaded syndrome: 1111-4, CE868LX-4, Viper 1271, maple Tornado, American Strat, Guild D-50, Steinberger Spirit 5-string bass, Galiano mandolin, Vega 5-string banjo, fiddle of uncertain antecedents
