The Ovation factory in New Hartford CT makes a small line (5-6 models) of guitars called Adamas. The difference from Ovation guitars is that the Adamas line does not have traditional wooden tops. The tops are made out of woven carbon fiber with a very thin sandwich of birch. You can read more about it at this link:

www.adamasguitars.com

The necks, bowls, electronics, etc. are almost identical to the Ovation line. You can think of Ovation-Adamas kind of line Honda-Acura.

Next year (assuming they'll have us) the bar will be raised to new standards. Work is already underway ...

Do people still go to the library to crack open a book about a topic, or is that a forgotten art?

Library takes too long - that's why God invented the internet.

Even when I was in college (not THAT long ago) libraries had mostly become a place for technologically-challenged older folks, preschool teachers, and kids wanting to make out. All in all, there's just as much information online, and it's a lot quicker to access.

Not to mention, kids are more likely to use the internet now, because libraries don't stock X-rated movies... (sorry, Freddie!)

Antiati, what got you interested in doing a report on Ovation guitars? Is your paper a historical overview, or does it have a different theme?

In exchange for all the information you will have to post your report here! Look forward to seeing what our educational system is capable of producing. It should be illuminating.
