Joined: October 2006 Posts: 43 | Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum, mostly because I didn't know it existed until last night. I went to the grand opening of a new Guitar Center in New London, CT and the Ovation rep told me about the site. I just bought my third Ovation today. It is a Transparent Burgandy Legend Countour 2077LX. The guitar I'm retiring is a 1988 Legend 1717. I don't remember which model Ovation I had before that. I really love these guitars! Has anyone tried cryogenic strings yet? I use cryos on my banjo and the tone and note separation is awesome! Regards, Victor

Joined: January 2005 Posts: 640 Location: boulder | welcome from Mystic, ct. no wait thats boulder, Co. again. at least I received the invite to the grand opening party in new london, of course I was in Boulder by the time the mail was forwarded. How many know Benedict Arnold burned New london to the ground (it's a city on the thames river opening on to Long Island sound) before he marched north to the canadien border? (ummm, anyone even know who he was?). 200 years ago, sailors from New london/groton and noank Ct used to be world known. (good harbours, easy access to ocean) Today, New London is just known for taking peoples houses. But I digress....welcome victor... peace mike
