Hello Everyone!

I'm new to the forum, mostly because I didn't know it existed until last night. I went to the grand opening of a new Guitar Center in New London, CT and the Ovation rep told me about the site.

I just bought my third Ovation today. It is a Transparent Burgandy Legend Countour 2077LX. The guitar I'm retiring is a 1988 Legend 1717. I don't remember which model Ovation I had before that.

I really love these guitars! Has anyone tried cryogenic strings yet? I use cryos on my banjo and the tone and note separation is awesome!

Regards,

Victor

yep!!! i go like pnce a week and fool around with the guys, they like playing my folklore and i love to play their adamas..
for the love of christ i keep forgeting the model number, but its deep bolw, cutaway, multi's on the bass side,2 knob stereo preamp.
but any way's i swing by around 7pm every friday nite when its kinda slow and get her down from the verry top hanger up on the wall.blow the dust off and have my weekly 2hr adamas fix...

it compensates for the lack of adamas in my collection till i can afford one...i also played the 12 string balladeer cutaway tonight..beautiful tone from that baby..jason

Cryo's on a banjo?
I thought you were supposed to freeze the banjo down to -100F and then drop it on a hard floor.

What's the difference between banjo players and terrorists?

Terrorists have sympathisers.

You guys are brutal towards banjo players, when in fact the two instruments sound so nice together. It's a match made in Heaven! Or, maybe it's just the players you don't like.

welcome from Mystic, ct. no wait thats boulder, Co. again. at least I received the invite to the grand opening party in new london, of course I was in Boulder by the time the mail was forwarded.

How many know Benedict Arnold burned New london to the ground (it's a city on the thames river opening on to Long Island sound) before he marched north to the canadien border? (ummm, anyone even know who he was?). 200 years ago, sailors from New london/groton and noank Ct used to be world known. (good harbours, easy access to ocean) Today, New London is just known for taking peoples houses. But I digress....welcome victor... peace mike

not brutal (well, ok, maybe) we just demand they have a sense of humor... and many of us are reluctant to admit how often we actually play with them.

...... and Thank your stars you didn't say you played a Uke.

I'm sure Al would love to see the list of all the things you've played with.

... Me? I draw the line at playing with a banjo player who is actually playing a banjo.

wait...
