After reading all 20 pages (at this point) of the previous thread, I have come to a few conclusions. 1. I may never eat pork again 2. Canadians like to drink...a lot 3. Very few people actually know what's going on most of the time It's the last one I need to address, so that I'm not leaving anything misunderstood or anyone in the dark here. I posted regarding some inside information I had that turns out to be 'unavailable for confirmation' at this time. I think of Tom Cruise, "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you," on this one. At the time I posted it, I was unaware of the sensitive situation, and the resulting shockwave caused ripples with intense effects on me and my involvement in this board. Suffice it to say, I misunderstood others' actions on this subject, and, while I cannot really say more in good conscience about it, please understand that the tenor of my previous post was largely influenced by my reactions to a situation in which I did not have all the facts. For anyone that I offended as a result, it was not my direct intention, and I apologize. For what it's worth, I have talked with both Al and Miles, and as far as I know have at least some mutual understanding with both (please jump in here guys if I'm wrong). We may not always agree, but we do respect each other, and that is in my opinion the biggest part. As to my involvement here, I do feel compelled to remove myself from activity. This situation if nothing else reinforced what I had long suspected, that I find myself in the centerpoint of a situation involving resentment, anger, and frustration that really has nothing to do with me. Whether or not I put myself in that situation intentionally is debatable, but to remain in a place where so much turmoil is almost a foregone conclusion would be to destroy the very thing I enjoy about the OFC, and that is the people. Whether this makes any more sense or not is debatable, but the bottom line is that without hurting any feelings (hopefully) or attacking anyone else's point of view, I feel it best to retire, at least for a time, and pull some fuel off the fire for now. Most of you know me by my postings, some personally, many by reputation. With somewhere over 1000 posts I'm sure that I am well reckognized here by most. I can say with a certain amount of conficence that the vast majority of members here would not instantly associate aggression and argument as my main attributes. Sarcasm and bad jokes perhaps... Without composing another novel, let me just say again that I am sorry if I have offended anyone personally with my previous post. What is probably the best thing for me right now became overshadowed in the frustration that fueled the post itself, so please don't read too far into it. As to anything else about me, my thoughts or stands, or how any of that relates to Al, Miles, or Greg, I am more than happy to discuss it...but it doesn't belong here. Hopefully, in removing myself from the situation, the issues that are not truly ours can be set aside and things can take a positive swing once again. The lesson: NEVER ASSUME! I will once again, perhaps more gracefully, take my leave. My profile will remain intact, as well as my information. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, please feel free to. Or, if Ovation starts making only wood-bodied guitars and someone needs to tell me...well, in that case, God help us all! Farewell again for now, and may all of you have a very Merry Christmas.

'Course, I too may be speaking out of turn. and not the first time. I think it's been one of those little flair-ups that amuse those not directly involved, and everyone else has a hug and moves on. (Canadians don't really drink that much. It's just part of the legend that we keep alive. You all don't say "y'all" either. ;) )

I would like to say however, that it takes a big person to post the message at the top of this thread. There were several little temper flair ups during this whole thing that I'm sure that everyone would like to just forget about. So, may I suggest that we do just that? As we say in Jersey....."FOGGETabout it"

Did I say "normal"???? And have a Merry Christmas.

You were just passing on information that you thought would of interest to the other members. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and I wish you well for the New Year.

Joined: December 2001 Posts: 10582 Location: NJ | I just want to express that I asked Andrew to post a clarification of his last post since at the time he did it he did not have all the facts. I felt that if Miles or I tried to post an explanation it would have been seen as "damage control" or some other nonsense. I have the most problem with this statement: < I may be many things but I have my integrity. I do not, have never and will never lie or fabricate anything to anyone on this message board. The above accusation still makes my blood boil. In a nutshell, sensative confidential information was posted by someone who did not know. We were asked to circumvent this information leak. We did so. No one lied, nothing was fabricated, no actions were taken due to any vendetta or anything else. now in my best officer bar brady voice "there is nothing else to see here move along" everyone have a great holiday

In about ten years or so your three Daughters (at least) will be approaching a hormonal transfixation and you will long for the days when things like this looked simple! May peace encompass the ending to every story and faith and strength be found in the midst of it all.

Apologize where appropriate and forgiveness should be extended and received. Most discussion boards have flameups on occasion, and most are unnecessary. This is a season of singing songs of peace on earth. If we can't have it here, there is little hope for the rest of the world. My modest, as always, opinion.
