As I have a 84C I don't think the 85C would stand a chance. So... Option #1 - buy both and sell the one(s) you don't like Option #2 - buy neither, get a 1537 or 84C Option #3 - buy the 1718 and then wonder what the 85C would have been like Option #4 - buy the 85C and then wonder what the 1718 would have been like As you can see the only sensible option is #1. Upgrade the components and set it up to your liking, and it can be a marvelous tool. Leo got it right when he rolled these out, and his emphasis was in the area of electronics and production techniques, not looks and feel. Over 50 years of continuous production with no major changes speaks volumes about the design and appeal. Hey, isn't the Legend now over 40? | ||
