How does one go about viewing the gallery? I find it hard to believe that this isn't a frequently asked question, but I couldn't find it. The impression I get is that the gallery isn't viewable as a whole except by administrators and that to use your pic that you've posted you must copy the link into your post.? I too posted a pic but didn't copy the url before I closed explorer so now can't get back to it. It seems a bit unwieldy, but I'm sure its just operator trouble. Any help would be appreciated.

BEFORE you send your post, you need to click on the "IMAGE" radio button (the last one next to those annoying little faces). The url yo need to type in would be: www.ovation.com/gallery/xxxxx.xxx (x's naturally being the file name that you've PREVIOUSLY uploaded to the gallery). Once you do it the first time, it's simple. IF by chance you've forgotten it, you can go back and "EDIT" your post, including the url in the edit.

Sorry, I was trying to take some pics the other day outside of all my axes (the indoor shots without flash aren't all that great and I hate using the flash 'cause of the glare) and after all the effort and shots I got the memory card into the reader and the files were all gone. Argh! As for the file size, I realized after I posted it that I hadn't resized it first. Sorry about that. Chalk it up to a newbie mistake that I won't make again. Paul, stop downgrading my cases.... :D

Now she'll realize that the 8 cases stored in the garage aren't that many. Please post a pic of the guitars when you can. We'd all love to see your collection.

Just let her look at Miles' collection at his site and I feel confident that she'll agree with you that there are people with problems worse than yours. Speaking for myself, that's the site I use when I'm trying to show the missus that it could be worse. :D Like most people here, I'm sure the desire to show off the collection is a common feeling. Hopefully I'll get some decent pics today (sans cases) and get 'em up.

All that Miles and Al have done is provide a spot to park photos and then provide a link the person posting a message.

In order to satisfy my needs to show off my stuff to the world, I'm gonna go make one of those free geocities sites like I did at the behest of another message board group that I'm a regular off, who wanted to see a collection of pics to put faces to the names: http://geocities.com/martyrman1/index.html BTW, I still have that jacket. :)

Then onto the CD, the Spring Event and the Gallery... But to answer... as someone earlier posted.. If you know the name of your pic.. you can just use the button below and for the location enter www.ovationfanclub.com/gallery/

Joined: May 2002 Posts: 3005 Location: Las Cruces, NM | Mark Just visited your site, I couldn't tell exactly where you are in the hill country, but the Army sent me to San Marcos AFB in the winter of 53-54 for training in helicopter maint.. I bought my first cowboy boots (black, shined), visited Austin, San Antonio, went to German dances in New Braunfels, went on an expedition with some buddies in the back of a 1950 chevy panel with a couch for a seat to Nuevo Laredo (we stocked up on booze in San Antonio on the way down, things are fuzzy from then on), for a lost weekend in boy's town (had boots shined thoroughly), bought a 41 ford convertible for $75 which I drove into the hill back country a few times until it broke an axle and I parked it off post, never to see it again as I was transferred back to Ft. Eustis, VA to start up the Army's helicopter training school. It was and is my favorite part of the country, even tho I haven't been back since, as I chose CA and NM. Have you seen an abandoned 41 Ford convertable with a cheap guitar in the trunk? Bailey BTW, I am intrigued with the frisbee on the wall with the built in clock, is it self timing or does the clock give it some secret advantage? I'm just as much of a hack at disc golf as I am on geetar. BTW, I'm in Burnet, near the Colorado river and the chain of lakes they made out of it. This is where I landed as a refugee from D/FW.

I'm slowly resizing all the photos of my collection and getting them ready for the geocities site. Here's a taste: http://www.ovationfanclub.com/gallery/Deacon121.jpg Sorry, now back to your regularly scheduled thread drift. :)

I might be tempted to visit the hill country again. Also, I don't believe your denial of that modified frisbee on the wall, but I can understand trying to gain a little advantage (I have a wind up music box inside my mandolin with all the super fast songs). :D Scott I think we had that helicopter, but it went down on the test flight when some Kentucky novice mechanic hummed the opening bars to Orange Blossom Special or Foggy Mountain and it went into a ground resonance vibration and destroyed itself, some weird banjo resistant tendency was built into it by it's builder. We scraped up the remnants and sent them to the factory and through some total misunderstanding, they sent us back a blonde T-head which moved into the barracks, improving morale tremendiously. That's how I remember it, dubyatoo might have a better recollection. Bailey [ September 07, 2002: Message edited by: Bailey ]

In disc golf, the time really is irrelevant, except for the tournament directors constantly complaining about how slow the Advanced Masters (40 and up amateurs) play. Now if I could develop a tree lubricant and a small unnoticeable chain magnet I might be on to something. Of course, if I possessed that kind of inventive genius I probably would've been able to develop a magic button that would've made me a guitar virtuoso and a rock star. We see how that worked out for me.

I was there in the mid 70's when I went to school (well actually I drank copious amounts of Lone Star long necks and skipped a lot of classes ... good thing my folks don't know about this place) at U.T.
