Not just a crazy man\'s rantings.

You gotta figure no good idea goes unpunished. It could be worth a million bucks.

The term "string tubes" must be copyrighted or something.

You know, you all laughed at him and made fun like he was just pulling off an extended joke. I wasn't around yet, but I can tell from his writings (see link below) that the guy was a freaking prophet.

The Birth of String Tubes

If I see white hatch door paint kits on ebay I'm gonna freakin shit ....

That Standingovation, a man way ahead of his time. If only he was still around, he'd tell us what to do about the economy. Gas would be around 1.25 a gallon, the stock market would be over 13000, etc...

If we all buy a set, it would be like he's still alive and with us today.

What ever happened to that patent application? I smell a good lawsuit. Combined with Gallerinski's marketeering genius, he could have really had something.

I believe Standingovation trademarked the name, but never patented the product. Guess he's not a bright as he appeared.

Dave

PS - I got a fiddy that says Standingovation, Hal and Heather44DD were the same damn person.

Some years back I read in a SRV biography that his "tech" used short lengths of insulation from electrical wire to achieve the same result.
When I first saw this bandied about here I thought that you all were talking about that type of "string tube" but as it progressed I realized it was really just considered an inside joke here.
Maybe I should have mentioned it earlier.....

I'd take that bet, but who's is going to decide the winner?

20 posts in 6 years, jbraa, and you think you could have said something important earlier? I bet I don't have 20 posts out of 7600 where I said anything important.

I didn't say "important" Mark. Pertinent maybe, but not important.
I don't just post to see my drivel in print like some of the "higher numbered" posters.
Present company excluded of course.
