But, gee, if you got number 301 of 300, that would be MAJOR collectable!!!! :D Seriously, if you were to get the LAST ONE made, that would be unique....as Mark got the #50 and last Folklore Deluxe. No 12-strings and only natural finish per Bobby at Oklahoma Vintage. May have a 1985 #1659 dark sunburst that I might sell - excellent condition. Only consider now that I will have the #1658 CL slothead in about a week and the Glen Campbell (acoustic) slothead just came in and is in near-new condition. That's 3 CL 12-str, GC 12-str, and the Takamine mahogany 12-str. We'll see, I'll wait until I get the slothead before I make that decision.

First time I have bought from Al...not the last. I didn't ask him the price before making the order. Let's just say that my trust was justified...his price is far lower than I expected.

As to the top bracing, is it the original A pattern or did they go with the newer X bracing pattern. Regardless, it's beautiful.

This is from Ovation: 2004 marks the 30th anniversary of Ovation’s Custom Legend – a guitar that has accompanied many of the world’s top entertainers from around the world, on stage and in the studio. Using a combination of its original features along with some new technology, this guitar shines as both a great acoustic and acoustic/electric guitar. Limited in production to 300 pieces, the new Custom Legend bears it’s original features such as a deep bowl, non-cutaway body – Ovation’s fullest sounding body style, and original abalone rosette and carved bridge designs. Ovation’s classic “A” brace pattern allows the AAA grade Bearclaw Spruce top to vibrate with minimum restriction. New features include Ovation’s new OP PRO preamp that has been designed and road tested by Ovation’s top artists, and the Ovation Original Patented Pickup – the pickup that started the acoustic/electric revolution. Other features include a AAA grade Bearclaw Spruce top and dual acting truss rod for precise neck adjustment. Retail price: $2499 including case.

Joined: September 2003 Posts: 782 Location: Waurika OK | I was in Oklahoma City this afternoon and went by Oklahoma Vintage Guitar to get a case for my 12 string. Really wanted to see the CL 30th ann. guitar, but unfortunatly it had gone to Arkansas with the Ovaiton rep. Won't be back until Friday. Since it is 100 miles up there, I probably will not get to see, hold, strum it. Bobby said it was one of only 6 that are "out" at this time. He said it was certainly a beautiful instrument. Congratulations Tony! Noel

Same style with the deep BROWN bowl, non-cutaway but updated for 2004 - OP Pro elecronics and dual acting truss rod for precise neck adjustment.
