Why is it that during the week, we all post lots and lots of messages, but on the weekend the traffic subsides considerably. Of course, we all know Moody holds the record of the most posts -- and even his goes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY down on the weekends...

I think Paul W. is probably right. I used to go out for a smoke break several times/day. Now I log on to the board for my breaks.

8hrs a day, 5 days a week is enough computer for my life. I avoid it like the plague on the weekends.

My retinas appreciate that.

After hearing a particular PI infer that I need to get a life (truth hurts)I save most of my monitoring for the workday (background/distraction/ecape) and try not log on at home unless it's truly free time.

The first step is to admit you have a problem. The second is to meet with a supportive group.

No intention of quitting though!

I don't Have a computer at home. all of my posts and logging on are done during slow or down time atthe office. If i have some things to do on Saturday at the office . I take the time to log on and see whats going on. Otherwise most of my posts are done duringthe weekdays. It's probably a good thing I don't have a computer at home or i'd be logging on then too! Guess like Moody said,..You just have to get a life!! EVEN IF YOU DON"T REALLY WANT TOO! :D
I don't plan to stop posting though.

So how many of us can be quoted as saying something like "Boss, you gotta see this really cool website I found! You gotta join! I've been on it all day and can't seem to leave it alone!"?

On the other hand - be glad for the fact that you don't have to hit the minimize button when one of your kids walks in the room!

Worst they could say is "Are you looking at Dave's guitars again!" or maybe "Is that the big hairy guy from Jersey".

I was just watching the news. This place is better.

I was gone fishing all last weekend. My wife & I celibrated Not-the-Momma Day & took our jet boat up the John Day River about ten miles & camped. Smallmouth bass are coming on. No computers, & cell phones don't work in the canyon. Nice.

The traffic drops off here a lot late in the evening too. I think there are more people on here from the eastern time zones than the western.

As we've seen the simple answer to why the posts go down on weekends is that the people aren't at work then (usually). I've noticed this for quite some time now. Not sure about the summer trailing off though, we'll have to wait and see.

What Is Spellcheck?? :D :D
I guess I get in a hurry sometimes and just don't catch mistakes before I add a reply.
I always catch them after the fact and cringe.
Someone was bound to say something at sometime.
Nils even tought me about how to edit my post. This works great if you catch it in time! Thanks Nils! Don't worry, Love you guys too!

Steve, I constantly go back and edit my posts to correct spelling, punctuation, instant graemlins, etc.
It's never to late as some people are catching up on reading the posts, so at least they think I know how to spell!
:p

One of my favorite quotes, as seen in U.S. News:

"If Al Gore invented the internet then I invented Spellcheck!"

Dan Quayle

(edit - I meant that in fun Steve! I am one of those that has to watch the keys as I typo!)

Cliff and Al,
If it makes you feel any better you may refer to me as one of the smartasses from the West Coast.

It should leave as much of a question mark!
