Is there any interest or chance of an OFC LX guitar... made to our spec?

How many would they need to make to make it "worth it" for them and keep the cost reasonable? Better question is... would the members here support such an idea?

Some are not really in the market for a new guitar, They might do that sort of thing on an order by order basis..but my guess is it could run into some bucks. Al or Miles might know more about whether or not this sort of thing could be done. Still a very neat idea.. Kudos for thinking of it.

A Custom Legend LX or Custom Elite LX with special finish (like deep amber natural or something), special TRC, special 12th fret inlay, and special serial number, maybe special heel plate. Could be a Legend LX or Elite LX to make it more "affordable"... or could be just a Balladeer or Special Elite to make it very affordable. In my pie in the sky way of thinking... I was hoping that perhaps if we could do 15 or 20 guitars it would make it less pricey to do on account of whatever they did special would be spread out over the whole run of instruments. What would be REALLY neat... would be to order by say... August 31, and pick up at the mothership in the spring. Anyway, just a thought.

I'd be content to let Ovation do its thing as it best sees fit as far as time is concerned.

A G7 capo comes with it. A mauve gig bag. A lifetime warrenty that extends to whoever owns it. A brush made of llama hair to clean the dust off. a foil label!! The case would be lined with Hawaian shirt material. A deep bowl (for Moody & me) . Brad

I volunteer to take 2 weeks of vacation, come to the factory and push a broom, load wood, cut abalone or whatever it takes to free up some help.

That would give us all some incentive to get an LX, and each one of us could buy whichever model we like/can afford. Then again...I could put one on my non-LX CL. John. <>{

I like the idea of the llama hair brush and the mauve hawaian shirt liner. like so many of these things, it can be done but ya'll gots to put the money down. You know what they say, money talks and wishin and hopin just spins it's wheels over and over and over and.....
