Just a quick note, I was up at the factory for the Hamer festivities this past weekend and had about 3 minutes to touch base with Rick Hall.

The OFC guitar is a definite go. I will be contacting Rick soon to go over some details. It will be unique to the OFC. Rick mentioned a few ideas and plans that they had unfortunately I am once again sworn to secrecy.

I am dying to know what and how much so I can either moan or see what I need to sell!

Is a 12 string one of the options?

Al, Make sure that Tony gets #7.

Have you gotten that Hamer with the curley top and back yet? I saw it last time I was there. It's a good thing that the neck was 1 11/16.

that guitar is still in the paint booth. I e mailed some pics to the customer and he is IN LOVE!!! that is one beautiful guitar.

As for the Ofc guitar. Please realize that I am often given information in confidence, When I am able to give out information I do it, otherwise I have to respect the wishes of Rick or Frank U or whomever.

Al,

Put me on the list as a definite for one of these babies! Thanks! Also, just traded my Celebrity C026 for a Fender amp! Wouldn't think of trading or selling the good old USA made stuff! Play On!

Al, have the OFC guitars with their own serial number(1-100),then offer each OFC member the serial number that matches their member number. This would only work for the first 50-100 members but it would be cool to have an OFC guitar that matches your member number..If a member does not want the guitar then offer that serial number to another member who does..

Or, we could really confuse the matter if we had our member number of the 100 made ... so I could have 477/100.

Al, for budgeting purposes ... can you estimate order date (and I assume 50% up front?) and delivery date.

And is this going to be the "not cheap" option?

No matter, sign me up.

This is very close to something that might make me buy a new guitar. Generally, I have only lusted after older models, keep us informed as it develops, I'd pay extra to have my member number on the fret board or headstock, or even the adjustment cover if that's all I could get.

I would prefer it inlaid about where GC used to have his signiture.

Al,

I know you can't spill the beans yet but surely you can give us something !

1. Any idea when it will be made avaliable ?

2. Round hole or multi ?

3. Wood or graphite top ?

It's certainly an exciting prospect.

Does the OFC guitar and the 30th Adamas have anything in common? I'd love for it to be one and the same guitar... With OFC markings...
I can't afford two "05" guitars.
I'm hooked.

I was there with Al. Rich gave me all the details and didn't swear me to secrecy.

The guitar will be a USA made Ovation. No doubt about it.

They won't be using Takamine's cool tube technology (I actually asked), but Rich said they came up with something new that takes out the piezo quack even better. The papers to protect the intellectual property is in the works, so he couldn't comment on it any more without killing me.

I love those red flame Elites. The ones painted front and back.

Too bad Frank U couldn't be there, not only for the reason he couldn't be there, but I was hoping to tease him a little about telling me last year that he hated the carved walnut bridges and they were moving forward, not backward, and that they wouldn't use them again. Then comes the 30th Anniversary..... ;-) I wanted to say "I told you so!" When I brought it up last year, I think his exact words were "no fucking way." ;-)

What I love about all this is nobody has any real info on the OFC guitar yet everybody's saying they want one.

Hell, it'll probably have mouse ears and only 4 strings.
