I've just been inspired to dig out a DVD of him that I have, which has brightened my morning! Here's to a peaceful and laughter-filled 2005. JB (who once sat at Rick Wakeman's piano. Needless to say I didn't dare play anything...)

Greg Lake? I don't know. He was a guitar player converted out of necessity to bass. Don't think he could stand on his own as a bassist. On his solo LP's he plays mostly guitar and hired someone else to track the bass parts.

" - Peter Frampton I believe that I mentioned Greg Lake in the bass thread . . . while he might not be considered a "virtuoso", he does do rather well (his 8-string Alembic work on "Pirates" comes to mind . . ) Keys: Wakeman Emerson Dr. John Michael Utley Chuck Leavell Leon Russell Jon Tout Tony Banks Harry Truman
