I'm thinking I might do my own home brewed film festival over the holidays of- "Films with the greatest endings"

In consideration at the moment are

The Usual Suspects
Dr. Strangelove
No Country For Old Men
Chinatown

??

Dark, JW, very dark. Plus you start out picking 2 of my favorites - Usual Suspects and Chinatown.

I would suggest

The Searchers (maybe the best ending ever)
Sixth Sense
Pulp Fiction

and on a Romantic-comedy-happy-ending note

The Philadelphia Story

Lately the Wife and I have become "Lost" fans. It seems like the only way to watch it is to get the Season DVDs - season 4 comes in next week!

Hmmm... many of the listed ones are actually HORRIBLE endings. Does that make it a good ending then?

If that's the case, add "City of Angels" and "Million Dollar Babies"

BTW Jeff - good list to start the thread - "The Usual Suspects" was the first one that came to mind when I saw the title of the thread.

I'm amazed that I can watch certain movies again and again...

It surprises me in a way that favorite songs do.

More films with great endings - all are Terry Gilliam films. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Time Bandits and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.
