Mike's twin -7's take the prize in my book. No other discussion needed. That c/a sunburst that Dave (Toby) posted gets me excited. I also think the 05ES is beautiful. I'm slowly going off the multihole models.

For me there is no (original) solid body better looking than the Messina Deacon ...which inspired the best looking non-originals known to man - the "Woody's".

Anyone who comes into my loft and sees the various guitars hanging about, ALWAYS tend to gravitate to my 2000C (well, once they get past the Deacon 12). I know the guitar is just a repackaged Elite with some fancy bit and a lam top sort of a celebrity on steroids blah blah blah ... but ... Check out the 6 ply binding, the beautifully bound fretboard, the incredible figuring of the rosewood board, a very elegant scroll style maple and ebony inlay, and of course the lacewood top Really ... have you EVER seen a more beautiful fretboard. And it is smooth and plays so great ... Forget the normal walnut Ovation bridge. On this one it is a killer piece of rosewood with figuring that matches the fretboard. Pictures don't really do it justice. It is really set off by the lacewood top ... And speaking of the top ... it is like one of those 3D pictures you stare at and when your eyes adjust, it looks like it's an inch deep. The headstock has a lacewood overlay that latched the top. With the gold foil logo and gold machines, it's a very nice look. I replaced the stock gold buttons with pearloids. I like 'em better. They say that the devil is in the details. I'm still trying to figure out what this guitar top really is. This inside view of the top KILLS all of my other Ovations. Period. So there you go. Even between the OFC and my CL12 (which has the best spruce top of ANY guitar I've ever seen), the 200C still darws all the oohs and aahs from the visitors to my guitar loft.

I think the 06C (KOA with flame maple) looks pretty damn fine as does the 5858 (angel stepped walnut) and of course the 03C (Spruce with Koa)! And yes, for those intestereds - the guitar above is still for sale! But I have nicer ones, that are not for sale. Never!: Best regards, Kurt
