A few years ago I got an Ovation Celebrity Deluxe. But my guitar is different than every other Ovation I've ever seen. It has an "hourglass" shaped body, and every other Celebrity Deluxe I've seen has that Venetian-cut-away "dip" thing in the top corner of the body. I've looked at all of the guitars on the Ovation website (even the discontinued ones) and I still haven't seen anything about this model. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Anybody know when this thing was made?

Hey Woody,
I think the name was Farina. Fatima was in the Roger Miller song about camels?

Actually Fatima is an important personage in the RC church.

By the way, welcome Fatima, and we are not making fun of your name, just some of the usual OFC banter.

Welcome to the board Fatima.

In addition to any pictures you can post, a model number may shed some light on this mystery. If your guitar is different than every other CD you've seen, it stands to reason that yours may not be one.

I'll try to get a pic up. But has anyone even heard of a Celebrity Deluxe like mine?

Could it be one of the Celebrities that was made in the shape of the 1997 Collectors, such as the Koa topped Palm Tree models?

The early Celebs, built in the middle 1980's had full bodies. Cutaways came later.
