success, filing the cavity worked without a hitch, now in my on going quest to maim my instrumement, does anybody know how to safely remove the epaulets without damaging the finish? thats really the only cosmetic issue I have with the guitar, it would look so much cleaner without them, I've been thinking of perhaps cutting out the design from a piece of 1/4 or 1/2 inch metal, lay a fairly heavy cloth over the guitar, place the metal cutouts over the epaulets , then slowly apply heat until the glue gives, then I'd just need a mild solvent to take care of the remaining glue....I'll probably never actually do it......it would look pretty sweet though.....assuming the guitar doesnt get mauled in the process

gently chip off the epaulets

repairs and modifications can be accomplished using common kitchen hand tools

This really is the sweetest little tool.
DeWalt came out with this Compact SDS Rotary Hammer about a year ago.
6.8 lbs. and very controllable. Variable speed, 3 modes (rotation only, rotation/impact, impact-only), quick change removable chucks go from SDS to 3-Jaw Keyless.
Just imagine the possibilities.

Matt,
Buy Standing O's Stealth Bomber on eBay and leave the modifications alone. There is no one perfect guitar, they are all unique and individual. If you add enough chocolate sauce you can get Strawberry to taste like it is Chocolate, but it was always Strawberry to begin with.

In the end you will end up with several flavors. Leave Strawberry alone.

Wow Matt,
I just looked at your tagline. A fellow Warrior owner!!! I have a Warrior Signature with a Dran Micheal top on it. MY absolute favorite electric guitar. Check it out in my gallery....and please post yours as well!

A guy who works downstairs from my office is a HUGE fan of Warrior basses, in fact I think he endorses them. He used to be the "new" bass player for Blood, Sweat and Tears when they reformed in the late 80's/early 90's (not sure about the date...but he was sporting a very 80's 'do' in the photos I saw). He recently did some kind of testimonial video footage for them. I didn't know they made guitars too.

If money were to be a non issue, my guitar collection would be much larger than it is, the bomber would be pretty much exactly what my perfect ovation would be, except I want it with a flamed wood top, and a deep orange ore orange burst finish. If it was a high end insrument, I'd probably not do much of anything to it, bought it on a whim, fairly small investment, and projects are fun......specially when they work, due to how much I like this one, I'm seeing a real O 12 string in the near future, and I'll more than likely keep that one stock, I'll post some warrior pics soon

this was made for me by the founding Warrior luthier, shortly before unfortunate circumstance...namely greed of the owner led to his leaving the company, it was actually finished in his garage, its one of a kind, first warrior carved top electric and is what their current model was based on, its the gem of my collection and one that I hopefully will never let go of, two piece swamp ash body, set neck, seth lover at the neck, pearly gates on the bridge, coil taps on both with push pull pots on the volume controls
