Location: Waxahachie, Tx | Just curious, if you have had a chance to play the Ovation through the Fender G-DEC and what you thought of it in terms of a prctice amp or so called bedroom amp for an acoustic.
Thanks

Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I'm back... I was out of town for a few days. Yes I have played my "Os" through the GDEC quite a bit. Most of the pre sets don't work well acoustically, but several are very nice. I have found that I like to set up the GDEC and have it playing in the background without even being plugged in. Almost all of the pre sets need to have the gain/distortion turned way down or the feedback can get bad. In terms of what I think of it as a bedroom practice amp. PERFECT! It really is. You can actually play this thing at very low volumes and get nice sound from it. I don't think it is really anything more than a very cool practice amp though. I mean I don't think it would have enough to gig with although I'm sure some will, and will do quite nice with it. |

Thanks, I'm just thinking about an amp right now, that G-DEC looks like it could be lots of fun. I don't have an Electric but could in the future I'm sure. It's ashame they could have added some more acoustic specific FX. But that's not what their real target is. I'll have to definetly check it out if I ever get the local GC. |

Location: Anchorage, Alaska | The amp is addicting to say the least! Like I said before, just lower the gain and there are several of the pre sets that work really nice. If you take the time to set up some user sets it really get interesting. The "Ladies Man" pre set is very cool along with the "Chicago Blues" pre set. I find myself thinking I have been playing for 20 or 30 minutes just to find I had been at it for over an hour or sometimes two! Lots of fun. |

i played a G-DEC at my local music store very nice toy/tool. I wrote Fender to think about putting a battery in it that would make it a very good amp for street musicians. Fender wrote back and said thanks no picks or checks just thanks.
