am looking to get my feet wet with my first O.found a used cs257 korea.serial num.9030982.can you discern the date from this ?if so, how old is it ?thanks.it has an op24+ and no fret markers black body with wooden epaulets and shallow bowl but the guy wants $399 for this. sounds high. please excuse me if i posted this in the wrong area.

The S/N's of the import models don't really help in determining date of manufacture. The "features" MAY, but I'm not one who can w/that. Sorry.

I'd say $399 is high for an older 257. I just bought a perfect 1 year old 247 for $290 with case from Guitar Center and they are usually a little high here.

You could always buy my Celebrity. It is a CK057 on ebay here



I agree, Guitar Center has them new for $399 with the Op20 (with built in tuner) and a warranty.
