On my guitar, the mounting screw sits at 6 o'clock, and I would prefer to maintain the use of the existing screw hole versus adding another. From my research, it appears that Grover Roto-Matics (full size) may fit the bill. Has anyone on the forum replace theirs, and if yes, what with? Thanks, Dave

Grover replaced it free, even though I wasn't the original owner, which I very much appreciate. All of my other guitars have Schallers/Ovations and the only problem I've had is with the bottons on the 97 Collector. Ovation tuners are made by Schaller, right? I thought they quit putting the Ovation logo on them before 2006.

The Celeb has a thinner shaft where the tuner button is mounted, so if you want to upgrade to perloid etc from Schaller, you are SOL. So it is important to ask what guitar they cam off of. My little "Beer Parlor" Trekker has gold Schallers with small perloid buttons. Makes it look downright expensive!

The same style buttons on my Ute haven't been a problem. I replaced mine with some larger ebony buttons I got from Al. They were a bit tight, but seem to be much more durable.
