It got laid on me yet today. My response? "I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard that joke. Not only could I afford another Martin, I could also afford to have the neck reset!"
Any other snappy comebacks? That don't involve going postal? |

| Haven't seen/heard a canoe paddle joke in quite some time. Particularly since the advent of Rainsong, Composite Acoustics, et al. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I can't think of a retort that's not just as lame as the joke. I haven't heard any comments in a long time, but I haven't been out much. |

| I think they make a far better baseball bat, than an oar. I'd put my aa14 up against any all wood guitar. LOL |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I have a Tuesday guitar lesson about a block from my office. I get "you got a gun in that case?" all the time. Maybe in Idaho they think that's not a stupid question. Somebody asked what's in the case one time and, figuring he was being a jerk, I said "a guitar". He said he knew that, but wondered what kind and he was on his way to a music store to get guitar strings. I'm sure he thought I was a jerk, but I was just a dumbass. |
