Can anyone give me some information on this failed prototype ovation model?
I believe there were only 4 made in 1968,1 with the standard black shiny bowl, and 1 each red, green, and blue bowl color.
Does anyone have any pictures?
I have the black bowl and I've been told someone in Beal's family has the green bowl; does anyone know where the other 2 are today?
Thanks for any help.

I owned the black for many years and sold it.Never really played it.The red bowl is owned by a lady(folk singer) in Ct. She was a friend of the Kaman family. It had a newer bridge and was offered for sale for a while.I turned it down since i had one and did not want to spend $1800 at the time. She sent me a CD and a card that may still be around here some where.

Samova,
I'd be interested in contacting the lady folk singer. If you ever come across her card, let me know.
The story I got was that you got the black one as part of a "train car load of stuff" when the factory was doing a clear-out.
Any truth to that?

Here's the only picture of the red one that I have on my hard disk.
I'll be so glad to get more... ;)

The green one has matching rosette too and the small bridge with rounded ends.
Don't know who has the red one, she was from Ct but we didn't know her.

Thats the picture that i have of the red one.I think that came from me Jerome?

Fletcher,i think the black one came from an Ovation employee that i bought 7 guitars from..The other truck load of guitars was some other cool Ovations that included the Jerry Reed Thunderhead, several PF-22's and some great adamas'...
