| I bought this guitar a few months ago and can't find any info on it at all. Its not listed on the Ovation discontinued models. I think it was made around 82-83 but not sure. The wood looks real nice though.

The 1861 build and look has varied many times over the years. I think this was the original (and of course, best). |

| Got an answer back from Ovation today about the guitar.
(Mike,
The 1561 was a transitional model, made in 1984 only. There are no production numbers available.)
No mention for the wood species or bracing.

| I'm really happy with this guitar. Its in mint condition with no cracks or dings. Only has a little string buzz when playing, but I only use it plugged in anyway. The Kluson tuners look a bit odd but stays in tune forever.
I think its a great deal for $320.00.
