I was trying to run to a computer to bid on this in time but missed literally by seconds.

I think there must have been some nervousness around the non-working electronics, the hairline crack, and the, shall we say, "terse" description...can't think of any other explanation for a lotta bids and a REALLY low price.

Neither issue bothered me... I was ready to commit. On the other hand, who ever got it may have been willing to go a lot higher. You never know with these things. Definitely a steal of steals though.

Scary when you see a listing like that. Every item that I've bought that had poor photos and a sketchy description turned out to be a total disaster. And seeing no strings on it is a clue to possible structural issues.

It usually goes like this-
•poor photos
•vague description
•vague answers to specific questions
•no response to questions
•answers like "I don't know much about it but it looks fine to me"

He has apparently sold quite a few guitars with decent feedback, so I wasn't worried too much about the ad.

The case alone is worth far more than that. I had one of these a couple of years ago, simple the best guitar case I every had.

I think ending a bid in the middle of the day is a mistake. Some of us have day jobs where they actually expect us to have other things on our computer screens than ebay. I probably would have been there in the evening.

I too was watching that one but - like stated above - no photos, no strings, non-functioning electronics, crack and no description means you have to watch it carefully and expect to put money into it. Could be a great deal, or a money pit.
