Location: Munich, Germany | We don't have a reserve over here. And it is yet way much too high priced for the fact that the auction is five days more running. Germany's Bay is, other than bay.com, not a very good place to get a good ovation for a good price. There are some weird bidders that bid their full amount on the first day on nearly every good Ovation/Adamas that is announced. They never get any of those, but pushing the prices up. I think, it will go away for more than 1.200 Euros. And for that the condition is too bad. |

Location: Berkeley, CA | Yeah, I was pretty shocked at the high price with 5 days left. But it prevents you from kidding yourself "I'm going to get this guitar for $600!".
... don't know if that's a good thing. |

Location: Munich, Germany | It is not. Because if you look, from time to time we have very good offers with a starting price at 700-900 Euros or a 'buy it now' for 1200 Euros. The guitars are worth it ,maybe even more, but nobody bids or buys them. I got some of my best guitars with the 'buy it now' option, because none of these 'I bid on everything' bidders is really interested, to pay what the guitars are worth. I think, that these bidders, that bid 600 E's on the first day, ruin the business. It is even not good for the sellers, cause they won't pay higher and real collectors don't pay any more attention to these auctions.
Hard for me to explain in english, I hope I made my point clear. |
