Ok I may need to plug my Adamas into a PA so I am wondering what kind of cable I need for the XLR output. Please remember you are talking to me not the brightest light bulb on the Christmas tree.

If it has an Optima preamp you can use any XLR cable, if it's a later preamp such as an Op50 or Op-Pro you need an XLR with a ground (pin 1) to shell connection. I think Al had some in stock, check with him.

I remember something about dummy plugs these are 1/4" plugs. Someone asked me if they were closed or open I did not know the answer.

Thanks Paul, that explains why mine (Optima) works just fine, but convinces me I'll need a new one for the 2008. This place is a mine of useful information.
