I have wonted an Ovation cense I was 15 now 21 years later I just ordered a 1778LX Elite Black from Munitions Friend. They say I should get it no Tuesday. It feels like Christmas. I had a hard time deciding because I like a satin neck but love an ebony fret board. Someone on this site mentioned in the past about using scotch bright to rough up the neck. I don’t now about that...It kind of scares the crap out of me. Id probably have to buy a cheep guitar to test it on first. Can someone elaborate on that?

I hear Munitions Friend is the preferred source of arms for rogues and dictators around the world!

Oh, congrats, BTW. I love ebony fretboard, too. The main reason I recently got a new Legend over a Balladeer (which would have had a satin neck). Ugh -- I don't know about the roughing, either.

It arrived. I took a picture of it the instant I opened the lid the first time so you could kind of be there with me. But I don’t know how to post it?

Randy, use the member access on the left green panel then follow the directions in the gallery utility. You have to downsize it to less than 500 megapixels wide, I think, or it won't load. I'm going to post some new ones Monday, when my wife brings the camera back from visiting family.
