I decided to add a shim under the saddle of my Balladeer Spcial. When I pulled the saddle out, it appeared that the pickup assembly was attached to the insert. There is a metal bracket along the bottom of the insert.
I put the shim in and reinstalled the bridge insert.
Is the saddle actually part of the pickup or does it pull out of the metal bracket?
If it a complete assembly what do I do if I want to replace the bridge.
I am using the OP24+ pramp/pickup assembly.

You did it right!! the saddles "sit" in the metel piece on top of the actual piezos. The wire is plugged into the OP-24. If you need to replace it, just unplug it and replace the whole thing, saddles, pickup, metal piece and cable as an assembly.

I put the shim in because I have been getting some buzzing. We just moved back from a very humid climate not too far from the Gulf Of Mexico and I am finding that some of my guitars are protesting.
Anyways, thanks for the info. Sure glad I didn't try and remove the saddle from the pickup.

Another answere would be, so, huh, what's your sign baby?

But actually, this is a good reminder for us nor'easters ... time to winterize the guitar, get out the humidifier and the hygrometer, change the batteries if you haven't done it yet this year ....

I just have a small humidifier that does the whole room. I thought it made more sense than getting one for each guitar.

It depends on how many guitars you have. For me, having less than 6, it's easier to put a hygrometer in each case along with an in case humidifier. I can imagine if you have, say more than 20, it might make sense just to have a room hygrometer and humidifier.

I have Planet Waves on all of my acoustics. I didn't need them down south as the humidity bordered on rain forest 364 days of the year.
I adjusted the neck and it is now working fine.
I keep the fleet in their cases. That way the cats don't use them for scratching posts.
