Al mentioned it earlier but here it is. Popcritic's daughter Kaki King on the cover of December Acoustic Guitar Magazine. She is holding her prototype Adamas II 1581.

To all of you who supported her from December 2002 (my first post) to the present: Thank you for your good humored acceptance of my attempt to share her astonishing career trajectory with her brother and sister Ovation fans.

Your friend,

Dave King

When I picked up my PocketStudio5 Saturday at Guitarget, I intended to purchase that issue. Unfortunately, the salesdroid was having difficulty controlling himself over the 'huge' sale (right) and neglected to ring the magazine up. My attempts to cajole him into including it for free were unsuccesful. I still need to go to Barnes and Noble.

But, for real, are they comparing her to Nick Drake?

Congrats Dave

Her new album is getting good reviews all over the place, sounds like she deserves the attention.

Excellent. My issue should be in the mailbox when I get home!!

That's a great photo. The blue on her guitar is radiant.

Dave, Congrats again. The cover looks great. Not sure I like the sound hole treatment but I don't like lip rings either. Guess it's just me. The color is great, article is pretty good too.

it's funny how things work out. She discontinued the lip ring in early September (her decision, I never mess with such things). The photo shoot, however, was back in July, so there it is.

I got one up on all of you! I went to B&N (or, as one of my sons...can't remember which...likes to call it...Barnes and Ka-noble) to pick up the issue of AG with KK on it. Alas, they were out.

So, instead, I picked up the copy of Frets (by Guitar Player Magazine) with her on it. Unfortunately, that ain't no Kaman product she's holding. Or, if it is, someone tell me where the *&%$# I can get one!
