Frankly I think the 1654 of 20 is more interesting. |

The FD-14 eliminated the weight but can still be plugged in...if not the OP-Pro, at least the True-Balance pickup w/direct out preamp. |

Location: Scotland | The FD electronics are fine, but personaly I hate endpin jack sockets and refuse to have them in any guitar I use on the road. Endpin jacks are unreliable and a pain in the ass to change when they break down (and they do, regularly) If you can find a strap to fit it is never secure unless you have a jack plugged-in, and they make using certian types of guitar-stand difficult unless you use right-angle plugs. My vote would be for an Op-50 0r XLR Op-Pro |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Paul T. - you are of course right, and that is EXACTLY the reason that the FD-14 electronics on my slothead don't go to an endpin jack. I had them install it to a normal bowl mounted jack. I would make a comment that "great minds think alike", but I'm sure that would just instigate all kinds of shit from our brothers on this board (ha ha). |

At any rate, I agree with Temp's reasoning and would want to go with an OP Pro with both a 1/4 and an XLR out. And not thru the end pin. |
