No Kidding. I heard less than 100 but have no way to prove it. I hope to get hold of one some day.

I am curious because when I purchased mine, it was difficult to even find a 1680. I can only remember one or maybe two that were reported traded or sold on this forum. I will say, it is a keeper. Hard to understand why they went out of production. Wish they made it in a 12 string because I think that would cure my gas issue...for a while anyway.

They weren't THAT hard to find. Al had one on his website for ages (that now hangs in the mancave).

One found it's way to my home.  Picked it up in the Netherlands - and will certainly keep it. I think I've read somewhere that 50-100 have been built.

I also have one from a member here. I never regretted this purchase, she will be my ever favorite. I've asked this question, too. The answer was "less than hundred".
