I fell for this on the bay, looks very cool to me:

Arrived today, and works fine, though I believe it's a little to light to produce the sound I'd like to get, I'll keep on using it, but think I'll prefer my old brass slide over this in the end. Will still look nice on the coffeetable! ;)

You may find that it works better on electric guitars. I like the heavy Nunwells and they are fine on Nationals or Acoustics but the lighter corociden types seem to work better for me on electrics.
Is it glazed over clay?

... and that's what it is.

I'll give it some time to get used to it, but I do prefer the sound of my brass Dunlop slide. That's concave and a little longer than I like (about 2 3/4"). I'll have to get some heavy glass or brass slides, and also plan to take a lesson or two on bottleneck blues playing. Not to mention that'll problably mean I'll "have to" get me a resonator, so there I go again! :D

This is one of Luther Tatum's "Big Heart" glazed slides. Luther makes a massive range of slides in lots of different shapes and materials from his workshop in Santa Ana. The idea of the heart shape is that it's supposed to provide 3 completely different playing radiuses (or whatever the plural of radius is)
